About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Hazlehurst, GA. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care setting, serving patients of all ages. The role involves leading a small team, working in a high-volume environment, and utilizing the full scope of practice. The company offers extensive support for new graduates, including orientation, training shifts, a pediatric urgent care course, and on-call provider assistance. The position emphasizes provider autonomy and leadership within the clinic, with support from treatment protocols and medical assistants. Requirements

Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
MSN, or higher education required.
DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
Suture.
Splint.
Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
Handle General Dermatology issues.
Address General eye problems.
Perform General EKG interpretations.
Utilize Emergency management skills.
Provide General GYN expertise.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide Occupational medicine services.
Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
