We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our busy and dynamic Neurosurgery practice. The ideal candidate will be an APP with a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The APP will work collaboratively with our team of neurosurgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Responsibilities include managing patients within their scope of practice in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings. Weekday and weekend call is required on a rotating basis with the other APP team members. Travel is required, at times, between Allegheny General Hospital, St. Clair Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital, Washington Hospitial, and our multiple office locations to cover inpatient hospital consults, operating room cases, and clinics. The position requires individuals who are self-motivated, possess a passion for patient care, and have a high attention to detail while working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Within the AHN neurosurgical department, you’ll be part of a subdivided, smaller team of APPs and Physicians who work cross-functionally in all locations; as such, you should be comfortable in such a setting. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing practice and make a significant impact on the lives of our patients. This role is an integral part of the care delivery system, prioritizing customer care to foster a healing environment. The incumbent provides specialty and critical care healthcare services within their Physician Assistant scope of practice, managing medical and/or procedural problems for specific populations. This includes addressing acute and chronic health conditions across various settings such as physician offices, non-acute facilities, and inpatient environments. The position adheres to applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the organization's policies, values, and mission. Responsibilities may include specialty certification and advanced procedures with appropriate privileging. Depending on the specific role and setting, this position may require rotational coverage, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, sometimes within a 24/7 coverage model.
