About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Eufaula, AL. The PA will provide patient-focused care, contributing to services such as urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive support, including an on-site HQ orientation and training, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. The position allows PAs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages (babies, children, adults, and geriatric patients). The PA will act as a leader for their team, with treatment protocols available to guide decision-making. The role also involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement grants or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. This role is presented as a two-year commitment with significant returns for career growth.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine.
