About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making. The position allows for the utilization of the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics. The PA will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, leading their team of medical assistants and serving as a professional role model. The role also supports rural communities with limited access to care, with potential eligibility for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Apply General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
