About The Position

This role is perfect for a provider who brings a caring heart, calm presence, and firm professionalism to every patient interaction. You will work closely with patients and support staff to ensure safe, coordinated, and compassionate care. In this clinic, you will make a real difference — one patient, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. The Physician Assistant (PA) will plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee health care in ambulatory health services; examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses; perform selected laboratory testing; offer referrals to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. The PA will also work with the medical director in the care and treatment of patients.

Requirements

• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• The ability to educate patients in an empathetic and clear manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program and received and maintained certification.
• Licensed in the State of North Dakota
• Current BLS Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current ACLS Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current PALS Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, X-rays, and other imaging studies.
• Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Provide a diagnosis for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and therapies (depending on state laws and scope of practice).
• Perform minor medical procedures such as suturing, wound care, and injections.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions.
• Offer counseling on lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and stress management.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide consultation and referrals to specialists as necessary.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide ongoing care for patients with chronic illnesses or conditions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and insurance requirements.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans clearly and thoroughly.
• Serves as a member of committees dealing with health care.
• Other duties as assigned.
