Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Physician Assistant - Urology (Overnight) to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Opportunity Details: Emergency Department Consults: Respond to urgent urology consultations in the ER, evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of urological conditions, including trauma, infections, stone disease, and acute urological emergencies. Inpatient Care: Manage and oversee the care of inpatients under the urology service, including monitoring patient progress, conducting daily rounds, performing procedures (e.g., catheter placements, drainage tube management, etc.), and adjusting care plans as needed. Collaborative Care: Work closely with urology residents, attending physicians, nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care. Seek guidance from attending physicians and residents, when necessary, particularly for complex cases. Procedures: Assist with or independently perform basic urological procedures in both the emergency department and inpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. Patient Education: Provide patient and family education on urological conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care plans. Documentation & Handoffs: Complete timely and thorough documentation of patient encounters, orders, and plans in the hospital’s EMR system. Ensure proper handoff of patients at the end of the shift for continuity of care. Support for Urology Service: Provide support for the overall urology service, ensuring high standards of patient care during overnight hours. This position includes back-up support from urology residents and attendings who take home call for additional guidance

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA.
  • Licensed to practice in New York State.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $131,127 - $174,836 based on 40-hour work week and years of state licensure.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239 - $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
