The Urology Surgery PA will be responsible for: Assisting in the operating room on robotic Urological procedures. Preoperative chart review including history and physical, laboratory results, imaging studies, pathology reports, cardiology/medical clearances and preop testing Verify surgical consent completion, and procedural readiness Sign- out immediate postop management to PACU nurse & urology team including pain control, hemodynamic stability, surgical drains, urinary catheter, labs/ imaging orders and disposition etc. Place admission/postop orders promptly following surgery and complete home medication reconciliation For same-day discharge surgery, provide comprehensive discharge instructions, follow up and discharge orders This position is three 12.5 hour day shifts Monday through Friday only

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program
  • Current NYS PA licensure
  • NCCPA certification
  • DEA Certification
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certification

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience in assisting in robotic Urological Surgery.
