About The Position

The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to work directly with one of TOC's established, board-certified orthopedic sports physicians. This role focuses on interventional pain procedures and the management of complex cancer pain. The position involves a typical four/five-day work week, with duties rotating across TOC's Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur office locations. There are minimal call duties and no weekend obligations. The candidate will be responsible for running concurrent and independent clinics, referring patients for diagnostic treatments and tests, ordering and reviewing lab results, and evaluating X-Ray, CT scan, and MRI results. Additionally, the PA will provide clear, concise, and accurate information in the EMR and assist in surgery. New hires should expect a minimum of 3 months of shadowing.

Requirements

Current NCCPA certification
Licensed to practice in Alabama
Highly self-motivated and driven with a strong work ethic
Able to work independently
Confident in making clinical decisions and managing patient care
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with the orthopedic surgeon and healthcare team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
Desire for continued learning
Compassionate and patient-centered with good interpersonal skills
