About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center, and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Both facilities are recognized leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital collaborates with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to uphold high healthcare delivery standards. Requirements

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Performing history and physical examinations.
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
• Developing treatment plans.
• Prescribing drugs and other therapies.
• Making referrals, as necessary.
• Documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
• Consulting with supervising medical provider, when appropriate.
• Counseling patients and families regarding care.
• Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
