About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their Robotic Surgery Team. This role involves supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Gynecology, and Urology. The Physician Assistant will function as a key member of the surgical care team, providing intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures, rounding with surgical teams, writing progress notes, placing orders, performing bedside procedures, and delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey. The position emphasizes collaboration, respect, and high-quality care, continuing the hospital's legacy of innovation in surgical techniques.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in robotic surgery
- Experience with Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current New York State PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance

- At least 1 year of experience in surgical inpatient medicine
