About The Position
Our private practice for a well-established board certified plastic surgeon is seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant to join our collaborative, patient-focused surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely a high-quality practice dedicated to delivering exceptional aesthetic and reconstructive outcomes. We are looking for a PA who combines strong clinical and surgical skills with a refined aesthetic sensibility and a commitment to outstanding patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active California PA license (or eligibility)
- NCCPA certification
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- 1–3+ years of surgical or relevant clinical experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in plastic, cosmetic, or reconstructive surgery
- Prior operating room experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and pre-operative assessments
- Partner directly with the plastic surgeon to develop individualized treatment plans
- Guide patients through their surgical journey with clear education on procedures, expectations, and recovery
- Provide attentive post-operative care, including follow-ups and wound management
- Perform in-office procedures to include but are not limited to: Suturing and minor excisions, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, Light and laser-based treatments, Injectables (Botox, filler, etc.)
- Assist in the operating room across a range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures
- Support intraoperative care including retraction, suturing, and maintaining a sterile field
- Help ensure a seamless, safe, and high-quality surgical experience for every patient
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to ensure an efficient, elevated patient experience
- Support surgical scheduling and continuity of care from consultation through recovery
