About The Position
CHPP New Hyde Park is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our busy Colorectal & General Surgery practice. The PA will support four board-certified surgeons and one APP across the OR, inpatient units, and outpatient offices. This role offers strong clinical autonomy, hands-on surgical exposure, and a supportive team environment. New graduates are welcome to apply. You will work alongside Dr. Marc Sher, Dr. Cristina Sardinha, Dr. Steven Schulberg, and Dr. Jane Yang—highly respected surgeons with advanced fellowship training and expertise in minimally invasive and complex colorectal procedures.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited PA program
- NYS PA license and board certification
- BLS & ACLS required
- DEA certification
Nice To Haves
- Interest in surgical practice and willingness to work across OR/office/hospital settings
- Motivation to learn and grow within a high-volume surgical team
Responsibilities
- Assist in OR procedures
- Perform daily hospital rounds
- Conduct office visits and provide pre-/post-op care
- Complete documentation and patient-requested forms
- Manage prescriptions, refills, and patient questions
- Collaborate with the surgical and clinical team
