We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. A PA with clinical experience is required, oncology experience is preferred. This position will support our Radiation Oncology department.

Requirements

  • Valid physician assistant license and current registration to practice in state of California.
  • Degree from an accredited physician assistant program
  • Clearance of certification exam as a physician assistant
  • License and current registration to practice in state of California.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for patients, families, and co-workers.
  • 1-3 years of experience in clinical setting required, oncology experience preferred.
  • Knowledge about cancer treatment regimens preferred.

  • Certifications like OCN, AOCN and AOCNS are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data for new patient consultations and prepare new patient notes for physician.
  • Evaluate patients in the infusion area and assess for side effects and symptom management.
  • See patients for routine follow-up visits in clinic.
  • Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team to formulate care plans and make recommendations for changes as needed to address for health problems and follow-up care.
  • Triage physician phone calls assisting with prescription refills and communication of results including lab, pathology, etc.
  • Participates and collaborates with interdisciplinary team functions including patient care, meetings and tumor board.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and timely patient records, charts and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided.
