About The Position

We are seeking three full-time Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our urgent care team. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to patients of all ages, from birth to geriatrics. The clinics operate 7 days a week from 0800 to 2000 hours, with shifts potentially exceeding 12 hours based on patient volume. PAs will be responsible for managing a variety of conditions, performing minor procedures, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Cases of higher acuity will be referred to appropriate higher-level care facilities.

Requirements

• Board Certification (Required)
• Active Virginia License (Required)
• Current BLS Certification (Required)
• Active DEA Registration (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting (Required)
• Clean professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues (Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform simple, intermediate, and complex suturing/stapling for laceration repair.
• Perform Incision and Drainage (I&D), including packing and foreign body removal.
• Manage minor burns and skin lesions.
• Provide orthopedic interventions such as stabilization, splinting, casting, and joint reduction.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including Point-of-Care Testing and X-Ray.
• Evaluate Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and interpret Point-of-Care lab results (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose).
• Manage epistaxis via anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate).
• Perform cerumen impaction removal.
• Provide airway management, including nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization.
