About The Position

Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine is the leading cardiology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care across the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cardiology Physician Assistant to join our highly collaborative team of cardiologists and advanced practice clinicians in our Martinsburg, West Virginia clinic. As a Cardiology Physician Assistant in our Martinsburg office, you will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care by independently evaluating and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with supervising cardiologists and a supportive care team. This position focuses on continuity of care, thorough patient education, and effective management of chronic and acute cardiac concerns. You will work in a modern ambulatory setting with access to advanced diagnostic tools, EPIC EMR, and the resources of Winchester Cardiology’s broader network. Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Eligible for or currently hold an active Physician Assistant West Virginia License.
  • Strong understanding of Cardiovascular procedures and CMS documentation standards.
  • Two (2) years of working experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods (Up to 8 hours)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the outpatient cardiology clinic, including evaluation, follow-up visits, and ongoing management of cardiac conditions.
  • Respond to patient messages, phone calls, and clinical inquiries through EPIC and other communication channels, providing timely assessment and coordination of care.
  • Document all patient encounters in accordance with CMS and practice standards, including comprehensive note writing, test result review, follow-up communication, and obtaining informed consents when appropriate.
  • Review and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) and communicate findings to the care team as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
