The University of Iowa Healthcare Walk-In Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to primarily support their Iowa City/Corridor Walk-In Clinics (Urgent Care/QuickCare Clinics). This role involves direct patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic services, with autonomy in medical decision-making. The PA will also assist in educating healthcare students and potentially research endeavors. UI Walk-in Clinics provide care to reduce emergency room visits and are open evenings, weekends, and some holidays. They assess a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric and offer services like X-rays, IV fluids, and stitches. This position is part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment that utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The clinics are located throughout the corridor area and the Quad Cities. This position reports to the Medical Director within the UI Healthcare Walk In Clinics and Lead APP within UI Community Clinics. The role primarily supports Iowa City/Corridor sites but may support other service lines/clinics based on clinical needs/hours, including Quad Cities clinic sites.
