The 1099-NEC Business Standard & Practice Ownership. GoTo Telemed is a provider-centric partnership. Unlike traditional contract work, you own and control your patient panel, creating a growing digital practice asset. Independent Practice: This role operates under a strict 1099-NEC independent contractor standard. Transparent Investment: As an independent practitioner, state licensing fees, credentialing upkeep, and platform fees are the practitioner's responsibility. We utilize a highly transparent, single $890 annual investment that covers all platform access, technological services, and ongoing support. There are absolutely no hidden fees or per-visit charges. Income Potential: PAs generate consistent revenue with average earnings of $95 to $1,200 per patient encounter. With consistent patient volume, providers report highly predictable monthly income.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Physician Assistant (PA-C) license (Multiple state licenses are highly preferred).
• Board certification and experience in Outpatient Med Management, Primary Care, or Geriatrics.
• Comfortable operating as an independent 1099-NEC contractor, acknowledging standard business responsibilities including the annual platform investment.
• Passionate about utilizing AI and modern technology to scale a digital health practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary, specialty, and outpatient medication management care with comprehensive support and clinical independence.
• Work in collaboration with physicians to provide comprehensive care across diverse clinical settings and patient populations.
• Participate in an integrated care model bringing together medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health specialties. You will facilitate cross-specialty referrals to ensure whole-person care.
• Utilize secure e-prescription functionality integrated with major pharmacy networks for seamless medication ordering.
• Manage integrated lab ordering systems for patient diagnostic testing when clinically appropriate.
• Utilize built-in patient engagement tools to increase visit frequency and strengthen long-term patient relationships.

• State Enrollments & Insurance Credentialing: Navigating compliance is daunting, so we provide comprehensive credentialing support with major insurance networks. We also guide you through NPI credentialing, EIN registration, and state compliance frameworks.
• Malpractice Coordination: We work directly with your malpractice insurance carrier to ensure full coverage for all telehealth services you provide.
• EMR & Digital Presence: You fully own and control your Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. We also build and maintain your professional digital footprint, including your provider profile and online scheduling capabilities.
