About The Position

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Nights Physician Assistant or Peds Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to help support Critical Care Medicine. This role involves night ICU coverage, including procedures such as intubation, central lines, and arterial lines. The APP will participate in ICU rounds with the team during both day and night shifts and provide Rapid Response Team (RRT) coverage. The Department of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine offers comprehensive intensive care services for pediatric patients from birth to young adults, providing maximum supervision and support for those with acute, life-threatening conditions. Requirements

Full-Time Nights Physician Assistant or Peds Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Night ICU coverage
Procedures including intubation, central lines, arterial lines
ICU round with team during the day and night coverage and RRT, management by APP
A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required (for PA role)
Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required (for PA role)
Current CPR certification is required
Act 33 Clearance will be required
Act 73 Clearance will be required
Act 34 Clearance required
The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required (for CRNP role)
Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required (for CRNP role)
National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing (for CRNP role)
Peds ACNP (for CRNP role)

Nice To Haves

BSN, MSN is preferred (for CRNP role)
Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred (for CRNP role)
BS or MS candidate is preferred (for PA role)
Experience as a physician assistant and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred (for PA role)
