Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
An established and highly reputable gastroenterology practice in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join it's team. The practice is mid-sized, consisting of a few gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers, offering a strong team-oriented environment with excellent clinical support. This is a 100% outpatient role based in the GI clinic with a Monday through Friday schedule and no hospital call responsibilities. Candidates with direct experience in gastroenterology or another related specialty will be given priority, but the team is also open to training the right candidate.
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a team-based environment
- Prior experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty (e.g., internal medicine, primary care) is preferred
- Open to training motivated candidates with relevant clinical experience and a strong interest in GI or clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions in an outpatient setting
- Conduct patient consultations, follow-ups, and ongoing care management
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Provide patient education on digestive health, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
