GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians. PRIMARY LOCATION: Piedmont Henry Hospital Stockbridge, GA

Requirements

• Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
• Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all times
• Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner
• Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers
• Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in person
• Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures
• Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel as business needs dictate.

• GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Completing inpatient hospital coverage and rounds at the hospital
• Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
• Dictating for hospital consults performed
• Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
• Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
