About The Position

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Otolaryngology (ENT) practice and care team. This position will join an established practice and contribute to increasing patient access to ENT services. The PA/NP will work under specific accreditation standards in collaboration with an attending physician to develop and implement direct care for all ages of patients. This position will work primarily in the Ambulatory ENT clinic, with occasional support for inpatient needs and may be scheduled up to one day a week in the OR in a support or surgical first assist role. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years full-time clinical PA/NP practice experience required.
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) from the VT State Board of Nursing or as a Physician Assistant (PA) from the VT State Board of Medical Practice.
  • New PA/NP graduates are not able to be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have worked in pediatric or adult primary care, hospital medicine, or urgent care.
  • RNFA Certification strongly desired or required to obtain within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement direct care for all ages of patients under specific accreditation standards in collaboration with an attending physician.
  • Work primarily in the Ambulatory ENT clinic.
  • Provide occasional support for inpatient needs.
  • May be scheduled up to one day a week in the OR in a support or surgical first assist role.
