Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine
About The Position
Vituity is seeking emergency medicine physician assistants and nurse practitioners to join the emergency medicine care teams serving Holy Cross Hospital – Silver Spring and Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. Advanced Providers are valued members of the full care team and contribute to Vituity’s mission of improving lives. The role offers two schedule options: evening and overnight coverage with a primary schedule of 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., or a flexible mix of morning, day, evening, and occasional overnight shifts. Providers will be cross-credentialed at both hospitals. Holy Cross Hospital – Silver Spring is a 450-bed hospital and STEMI Receiving Center with an approximately 40-bed Emergency Department, separate pediatric ED, annual volumes of 65,000 adult and 12,000 pediatric visits, and Epic EMR. Holy Cross Germantown Hospital is a 90-bed facility with a 22-bed Emergency Department, Primary Stroke Center designation, annual volume of 32,000, and Epic EMR. Vituity-staffed hospitalists provide integrated care solutions at the Silver Spring site. The salary range is $70–$90 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements
- At least two years of Emergency Medicine experience.
- Current national certification.
- DEA registration.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patient populations is preferred.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- PALS certification is preferred.
- Current Maryland state license is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medicine care as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
