We are seeking either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work full time, 40hrs/wk to support a busy, academic plastic and reconstructive surgery practice servicing a wide range of patients. Our focuses are: breast cancer reconstruction, facial trauma, transgender care, lymphatic surgery, cosmetic surgery and non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities Clinical Care & Patient Management Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations Develop and manage individualized care plans Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Provide clear education to patients and families regarding care and treatment Care Coordination & Collaboration Coordinate care to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and timely outcomes Serve as a liaison among visiting nurses, clinical teams, and consult services Collaborate with physicians and surgeons on complex diagnoses and treatment plans Use a service‑wide approach to ensure continuity of care Education & Professional Support Serve as a clinical resource and educator for staff Provide formal and informal education, literature review, and clinical consultation Participate in seminars, conferences, and ongoing professional development Documentation & Compliance Document all clinical encounters accurately, clearly, and in a timely manner Maintain required professional credentials, licensure, and certifications Professional Practice Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Role model team‑based, patient‑centered care Stay current with medical best practices, trends, and new treatment methods

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant License
  • DPH Drug Control Registration
  • Valid prescriptive authority (MA DPH‑DCP and Federal DEA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association)
  • NCCPA Certification (ARC‑PA accredited program)
  • 0–1 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and web‑based systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in an inpatient or ambulatory setting
