Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our high-performing Neurosurgery team in San Francisco. This is an opportunity to work side-by-side with nationally recognized neurosurgeons and advanced practice clinicians in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Primarily outpatient focus with meaningful inpatient exposure. Broad clinical experience across the full continuum of neurosurgical care. Strong team-based model with direct physician collaboration. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active and unrestricted California NP or PA license
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration (CSRC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Additional certifications as required by the department
- Prior surgical or neurosurgery experience preferred
- Candidates with a strong interest in neuroscience and surgical care are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Managing new and follow-up visits in the ambulatory setting
- Conducting telehealth consultations via Epic
- Supporting pre- and post-operative care planning
- Coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient teams
- Triaging referrals and managing clinical communications
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies in collaboration with physicians
- Educating patients and families to ensure confident care decisions
