About The Position

Froedtert South has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a growing Medical Oncology practice. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will have assignments in the Cancer Center Clinic. The position will have a minimum of 80 scheduled hours in any two-week period. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will direct patient care in the clinic setting, handle all aspects of treatment plans, review and evaluate test results, complete medical documentation, and complete patient follow up calls under the supervision of a physician.

Requirements

• Masters in Physician Assistant Studies or Master of Nurse Practitioner Studies or Doctor of Nurse Practitioner
• Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or successful completion of a master, post-master, or doctorate degree from an Adult Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE)
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or successfully pass one of the national certification examinations consistent with the applicant's educational specialty and administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification
• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Wisconsin or current license to practice as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin
