About The Position

South Jersey Radiology Associates (SJRA) is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage in Interventional Radiology on an as-needed basis. The APP will collaborate with Radiologists to deliver exceptional patient care and support daily clinical operations. This role requires adaptability to various clinical situations and the ability to perform a range of procedures. The APP must be capable of interpreting information to identify age-specific patient care needs and coordinate with other care partners, including radiologists, referring providers, and staff, to ensure the appropriate provision of clinical services.

Requirements

  • Graduate level education
  • Advanced Practice Provider
  • Certification by the NCCPA, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NCMB, DEA
  • Licensure permits treatment of all ages
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of company and compliance policies and clinical procedures
  • Adept with EMR and dictation system
  • Analytic ability to evaluate and determine health status of patient and implement plan of care
  • Ability to perform procedures requiring fine motor skills to include repetitive hand work
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to function effectively and adapt to a dynamic and often changing work environment including multiple hospital facilities

Nice To Haves

  • Interventional Radiology experience with clinical procedures and inpatient/outpatient consultations experience preferred
  • Effective utilization of clinical equipment to include US/CT (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Performing procedures under general and proximate supervision within the scope of practice of a radiology APP and as outlined on the delineation of privileges.
  • Assisting with the training of new APP hires, including clinical responsibilities and procedural skillset.
  • Participating, collaborating, and actively engaging with radiologists and hospital staff to achieve goals and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Managing patients through advanced decision-making, interpretation of laboratory values, assessment of radiological studies, clinical evaluations, and procedures. This includes performing initial consultations, follow-up visits, hospital rounds, and obtaining the majority of H&P for all radiology procedures.
  • Serving as an educational and clinical resource to staff, patients, and their families.
  • Assisting with the formulation of policies and protocols related to the APP team and clinical workflow based on established guidelines, potentially through committees like the APP panel.
  • Assuming other duties as assigned by the clinical leadership team.
  • Participating in research initiatives for the development of protocols and/or data analysis.
  • Organizing time and workload to manage all service lines, assuming responsibility and accountability.
