About The Position
Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Surgery Institute is seeking a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice in the Western Region - Lewistown, Pennsylvania. The Advanced Practitioner will enjoy a combination practice of outpatient clinic in Lewistown and inpatient consolations at the assigned base hospital. This position offers no call but will have rotating weekend coverage. There is an option for 10-hour days.
Requirements
- Completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure (for Physician Assistant candidates)
- Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position (for Nurse Practitioner candidates)
- Eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA (for Nurse Practitioner candidates)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
