About The Position

Novant Health Urgent Care (formerly Doctors Care) is part of the Novant Health family based in North Carolina and provides exceptional healthcare through a network of over 40 urgent care centers and 17 physical therapy facilities across South Carolina. Our Columbia-based headquarters manages non-medical operations to support these locations. For many years, we have been dedicated to offering outstanding, accessible, and reasonably priced healthcare services to families and communities throughout South Carolina. We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding urgent care team. This role involves collaborating with patient services representatives, nurses, medical assistants, and x-ray technicians to care for a diverse patient population aged 6 months and older.

Requirements

Master's degree in either Nurse Practitioner (with Family Nurse Practitioner specialty), or Physician Assistant
Active SC licensure
Active DEA and SC Controlled Substance
DOT Certification
2 or more years of experience working in either family practice or urgent care setting
Willing to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
Willing to work at other centers as needed
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.

Nice To Haves

5 or more years of urgent care experience as a FNP or PA

Responsibilities

Serve diverse populations ages 6 months and above.
Work with support teams of patient services representatives, nurses, medical assistants, and x-ray techs.
