About The Position

Western Maryland Physician Services is hiring a Casual Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to help support their Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU). This role involves 100% of time spent within inpatient rehab nursing. The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU) is CARF-accredited and provides medical rehabilitation in a hospital setting for adults who need coordinated therapy, nursing care, and physician oversight after illness, injury, or stroke. This is an opportunity to contribute to UPMC's mission of Life Changing Medicine, set standards for care delivery, and provide patient care activities through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration.

Requirements

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): Current CPR certification is required.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): Act 33 Clearance will be required.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): Act 73 Clearance will be required.
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP): Act 34 Clearance required.
Physician Assistant (PA): A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
Physician Assistant (PA): Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
Physician Assistant (PA): Current CPR certification is required.
Physician Assistant (PA): Act 33 Clearance will be required.
Physician Assistant (PA): Act 73 Clearance will be required.
Physician Assistant (PA): Act 34 Clearance required.
Masters degree in Nurse Practitioner Program (Maryland Approved) required.
The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required.
Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required.
State of Maryland National board certification, eligible for licensure by Maryland board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Maryland state board of nursing.
Current CPR certification is required.
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.

Nice To Haves
