About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Infectious Disease in an outpatient setting in Greensboro, NC. The role involves providing clinical care for adult patients with a case mix focused on Infectious Disease, specifically HIV. The coverage period is from December 14, 2026, to December 13, 2027. The schedule includes Monday through Thursday with 8-hour shifts and a half-day on Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The patient volume is expected to be 12-15 patients per day. The facility uses the Epic EMR system, and physician backup is available.

Requirements

• Active NC PA license
• Board Certified in Physician Assistant (NCCPA) – must obtain within 1 year
• DEA required
• BLS (CPR) – American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider certification
• Minimum 3 years in Infectious Disease or relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Perform in-office physical assessments and review medical history.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and results to provide effective treatment.
• Conduct preventive health screenings based on patient age and needs.
• Educate patients and families about specialty care conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient records and perform office-based specialty care medical procedures.
