About The Position
MemorialCare Medical Foundation is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners to join their urgent care clinic in Huntington Beach, CA. This is a full-time position with benefits, operating on a 3x12 schedule, which includes working two weekend shifts per month. The role involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, interpreting tests, diagnosing conditions, and implementing treatment plans under physician supervision.
Requirements
- Completed an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current, active, unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant or NP
- Working experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred
- Licensed to practice in California
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- DEA number
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis
- Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising physician or other healthcare professionals
