The University Health Center is seeking a Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner. This position provides comprehensive primary and acute care services to students, and when appropriate, staff and visitors of the university community. Responsibilities include evaluation and management of common acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive care, reproductive and sexual health, gender-affirming care (if applicable), minor procedures, and musculoskeletal care. The PA/NP must be proficient in documentation, coding, and working within an insurance-billing environment. This position is designated as essential personnel for campus emergencies and may require occasional evening or weekend shifts, as needed. -Provide primary and acute care, including evaluation and management of common medical conditions; preventive and wellness care; sexual and reproductive health; gender-affirming care (if applicable); minor office procedures; and musculoskeletal care. Provide patient care in a confidential, supportive, and non-judgmental manner. Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical documentation in accordance with legal, billing, and accreditation standards. -Perform provider responsibilities for medical documentation, coding, peer review, and any task expected to meet legal, billing operations and AAAHC accreditation standards. Collaborate with supervising physicians and other clinicians to support high-quality, team-based care. -Provide teaching, and consultation with Health Center advanced practice clinicians, and preceptorship for health care trainees (residents, medical students, PA students etc.) assigned to the Health Center. Participate in quality assurance activities including chart review, peer review, and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to legal, billing, and accreditation standards. -Participate in shared after-hours call rotation. Occasional evening/weekend clinic shifts as scheduled. -Expected to participate on committees and take leadership roles. -Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Physical activity involves more standing, bending, and stooping than the usual office environment. High risk of exposure to infectious disease is inherent in work in a medical setting. Must be able to respond to campus emergencies when designated as essential personnel
