Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Podiatry
About The Position
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient podiatry clinic. You will work collaboratively within a team consisting of physicians, medical assistants, and RNs. This role involves performing history and physicals, pre and post-operative evaluations, and developing, managing, and modifying treatment plans. You will serve patient populations with conditions such as pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, and heel pain. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients. Procedures performed include wound debridement, TCC placement, suture removal, cortisone injections, and splint removal. You will also see patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery.
Requirements
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
- If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program
- Minimum – State of Wisconsin PA licensure
- Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
- If Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification
- If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Family, Acute or Primary Care NP
- All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
