About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Neonatology to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center, and North Central Bronx Hospital has 213 licensed beds. Both facilities are respected leaders in various medical fields and maintain a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Requirements

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• NRP and PALS

Responsibilities

• Attend high risk deliveries in collaboration with Attending Neonatologists.
• Evaluate and treat newborns in the well baby nursery in collaboration with Attending Neonatologists.
• Participate in neonatal simulation activities.
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
• Developing treatment plans.
• Prescribing necessary medications and other therapies.
• Counseling patients and families regarding care.
