About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Neonatology to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Requirements

Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
Current certification issued by the NCCPA
NRP and PALS

Responsibilities

Attend high risk deliveries in collaboration with Attending Neonatologists.
Evaluate and treat newborns in the well baby nursery in collaboration with Attending Neonatologists.
Participate in neonatal simulation activities.
Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
Developing treatment plans.
Prescribing necessary medications and other therapies.
Counseling patients and families regarding care.
