The Physician Assistant II (Shift) serves as a provider of clinical services within the scope and practice guidelines of the State Physician Assistant Practice Act. This role involves performing clinical services including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care. The Physician Assistant II will consult and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care. Responsibilities include documenting services, performing necessary procedures and treatments, ordering treatments, promoting patient wellness through education, and utilizing advanced clinical knowledge to meet patient needs. The role also involves participating in quality initiatives, safety functions, and identifying needed supplies. Maintaining compliance with Health System, Warren Clinic, OSHA, and HIPAA policies is essential, as is ensuring exemplary patient satisfaction and engaged teamwork. Decision-making involves independent judgment with general review in final stages. Working relationships include direct interaction with patients, internal and external customers, other healthcare professionals, and staff, including individuals at the Director level or above. Physician Assistants are Allied Health Professionals whose privileges are supervised by a physician.
