The Physician Assistant I (Shift) serves as a provider of clinical services within the scope and practice guidelines of the State Physician Assistant Practice Act. This role involves performing clinical services including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care. The position requires consultation and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care. Documentation of services, preparation of medical records, and billing documents are essential. The role also includes performing necessary procedures and treatments, recommending and ordering treatments, and promoting patient wellness through education. Additionally, the Physician Assistant will utilize advanced clinical knowledge to address patient needs, participate in quality initiatives and safety functions, and assist in identifying and ordering supplies. Maintaining compliance with Health System, Warren Clinic, OSHA, and HIPAA policies and procedures, as well as ensuring exemplary patient satisfaction and active team participation, are key aspects of this position. Decision-making involves independent judgment with general review in final stages. Working relationships include direct interaction with patients, internal and external customers, other healthcare professionals, and individuals at the Director level or above. Physician Assistants are Allied Health Professionals whose privileges are supervised by a physician.
