About The Position

This role consists of assuring safe, effective, quality patient care within the scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, regulations, institutional policy, and practice agreements. The Physician Assistant will be responsible to the Operations Director.

Requirements

• Current Licensure with the Texas Medical Board of Physician Assistants
• Experience working in Gastroenterology or other related field
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management, physicians, patients, and visitors
• Background Check
• Lab Work
• Immunization Records
• Ability to talk to patient and/or staff
• Ability to hear patients and/or alarms
• Vision (near and/or far)
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Bloodborne Exposure (Refer to Bloodborne Exposure Control Plan in Policy Tech for possible exposure tasks)
• Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually
• Serve Children 1-12 years
• Serve Adolescents 13-18 years
• Serve Adults 19-70 years
• Serve Geriatrics 71+ year
