About The Position

Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a 32 hour per week Physician Assistant to join our Radiology team in a unique fluoroscopy-focused role. This position offers a highly desirable four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing an exceptional work-life balance while maintaining a procedural clinical practice. The Physician Assistant will perform a variety of fluoroscopic procedures, working closely with Radiologists, technologists, and referring providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is primarily focused on fluoroscopy with limited Interventional Radiology responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant seeking a procedural role with a predictable weekday schedule, no scheduled weekends, and the opportunity to work collaboratively within a well-established hospital-based radiology practice. The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider. The PA is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Requirements

Master's Degree Physician Assistant required
Physician Assistant [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
2 years of experience as a PA required
2+ years of Fluoroscopy PA experience is required

Responsibilities

Perform fluoroscopic studies and procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and provide patient education.
Collaborate with Radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and efficient workflow.
Document procedures and clinical findings in the electronic medical record.
Support limited Interventional Radiology activities as needed.
Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and service excellence.
Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
