About The Position

This position is within the Department of Endocrinology at the Outpatient Clinic. The Physician Assistant will provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, providing and documenting treatment and management of health conditions, counseling and educating patients and their families, and performing preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations.

Requirements

• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities
