Requirements

• Certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program
• Prior experience in dermatology is preferred but not required; willingness to train in dermatology is essential
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of dermatological procedures and treatments is a plus
• Licensure and certification as required by state or regional regulations

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, including history taking and physical examinations related to dermatological conditions
• Assist dermatologists in diagnosing and treating skin, hair, and nail disorders
• Perform procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other dermatological treatments
• Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Document patient interactions accurately and maintain detailed medical records
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Stay current with advancements in dermatology and participate in ongoing training and professional development
