About The Position

Pharmaron is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to support Phase I–III clinical trials at our Baltimore clinical research unit. This is a unique opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a research setting while maintaining direct patient interaction and contributing to the development of innovative therapies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, clinical teams, and sponsors to ensure the safety, integrity, and successful execution of clinical studies involving both healthy volunteers and patient populations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active PA-C certification and ability to obtain Maryland licensure
  • Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in a patient-facing setting
  • Strong ability to interpret clinical data (labs, ECGs, vital signs)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical research experience preferred
  • Phase I–III exposure is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and assess study participant eligibility
  • Evaluate clinical data including laboratory results, ECGs, and vital signs
  • Monitor participant health status throughout study participation
  • Act as Sub-Investigator on Phase I–III clinical trials
  • Support informed consent discussions, ensuring participant understanding of study risks and benefits
  • Assist in ensuring protocol adherence and high-quality study conduct
  • Identify, document, and assess adverse events and concomitant medications
  • Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in safety data review with internal teams and sponsors
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • Support training and mentorship of clinical staff
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in accurate and complete case documentation
