About The Position

INTEGRIS Health Breast Surgery in Edmond is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical care, medical consultation, genetic counseling, and ongoing follow-up for patients within the breast surgery specialty practice. This role may also involve assisting and rounding in the hospital(s). The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with the breast surgeon and a multidisciplinary care team to support timely evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, patient education, and continuity of care across the breast care continuum. The practice specializes in diagnosing breast disease and creating personalized treatment plans, including breast conserving surgeries, risk-reducing mastectomies, and diagnostic breast surgery. The team works closely with medical oncologists, genetics counselors, breast radiation oncologists, pathologists, rehabilitation therapists, plastic surgeons, case managers, and social workers.

Experience assisting in the OR

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive clinical care, medical consultation, genetic counseling, and ongoing follow-up for patients within the breast surgery specialty practice.
Assists and rounds in the hospital(s).
Supports timely evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, patient education, and continuity of care across the breast care continuum.
Provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow up as directed.
Assists physician with procedures.
Serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient.
Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
