About The Position
City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer care delivery in the nation’s sixth largest county. With the 2025 opening of Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital, City of Hope is advancing a national model for cancer research and treatment on its 72-acre research campus. The visionary initiative completes the most advanced, integrated cancer care network in the region, bringing more cancer-focused expertise, breakthrough acute and outpatient care, novel clinical trials and groundbreaking technology to a community with pressing needs. The hospital is seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, ensuring uninterrupted care for each patient’s needs (low acuity or complex.) This campus is surrounded by a network of regional clinical locations. Requirements
- Academic record consistent with appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Clinical Professor level at City of Hope National Medical Center
- Eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
- American Board of Anesthesiology board eligibility/certification
Responsibilities
- 95% Clinical effort allocation
- About 50% / 50% supervision vs independent
- Opportunity for academic advancement and quality improvement
- Coverage at only one location: hospital is located on campus
- No in house call
- No cardiac, no trauma, no OB. Minimal peds cases
