About The Position
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport seeks applicants to join our team at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, under the leadership of Wendy K. Bernstein, MD, MBA, FASA, FAMWA. This role involves working alongside dedicated faculty anesthesiologists and CRNAs, teaching and mentoring residents and fellows in a fully ACGME-accredited program, and training future neuroanesthesiologists. The position offers diverse clinical exposure across multiple sites, including an Academic Medical Center, St. Mary Medical Center, Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, and OLHS Regional Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role is part of a robust academic community within LSU Health Sciences Center, which includes Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions. The position also involves being part of the only Level I Trauma Center in the region.
Requirements
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure
- Strong commitment to teaching, scholarly activity, and patient-centered care
