About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) seeks a relationship-driven, consultative talent acquisition professional to serve as its next Physician & Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Talent Advisor. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to directly influence access to care across New Mexico by attracting and securing exceptional physician and advanced practice talent for Presbyterian Medical Group. In today's increasingly competitive provider recruitment environment, successful recruitment requires more than posting jobs and screening resumes. The most effective recruiters serve as trusted advisors to hiring leaders, strategic ambassadors for the organization, and advocates for candidates navigating life-changing career decisions. The Physician & APP Talent Advisor plays a critical role in helping Presbyterian identify, engage, and recruit high-quality clinicians who align with the organization's mission, culture, and commitment to delivering exceptional care. This individual will serve as a full-cycle recruitment consultant supporting a diverse portfolio of physician and APP searches, with a primary focus on specialty care recruitment including cancer services, neurology, and other hard-to-fill clinical specialties. Working closely with medical directors, operational leaders, and provider candidates nationwide, the Talent Advisor will provide a high-touch, white-glove recruitment experience while building long-term talent pipelines that support organizational growth. The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and business acumen with the ability to successfully manage multiple searches in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant recruitment experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience required.
  • Experience recruiting healthcare providers, professionals, or highly specialized talent preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and networking.
  • Experience supporting hiring leaders throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare recruitment experience is desirable but not required.
  • Experience partnering with educational institutions, residency programs, or university relations initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake and kickoff meetings with hiring leaders to develop a deep understanding of clinical, operational, and cultural requirements.
  • Translate business needs into targeted recruitment strategies for physicians and APPs.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, competitive factors, and recruitment challenges.
  • Advise leaders on candidate assessment, interview strategies, and selection decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with operational and physician leaders to establish credibility as a trusted talent advisor.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for approximately 30 active physician and APP requisitions.
  • Source, screen, assess, and present highly qualified candidates for consideration.
  • Coordinate interviews, site visits, candidate communications, and selection processes.
  • Ensure all candidates are appropriately screened and meet organizational credentialing and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain proactive communication throughout the hiring process to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify passive and active candidates.
  • Leverage niche healthcare job boards, targeted outreach campaigns, employee referrals, professional associations, and networking initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain talent pools for recurring and critical physician and APP specialties.
  • Build relationships with residency programs, fellowship programs, and educational institutions to create future talent pipelines.
  • Participate in university relations and outreach initiatives to strengthen Presbyterian's employer brand.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Deliver a high-touch, concierge-style recruitment experience that reflects Presbyterian's culture and values.
  • Help candidates navigate relocation, organizational culture, compensation discussions, and career decision-making.
  • Maintain consistent communication and transparency to foster trust and engagement.
  • Facilitate offer development and compensation discussions in partnership with provider compensation and leadership teams.
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking when evaluating candidate concerns, contract questions, and negotiation requests.
  • Ensure provider agreements, offer letters, and employment documentation are prepared accurately and executed appropriately.
  • Partner with legal and operational stakeholders to resolve candidate concerns and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Represent Presbyterian Healthcare Services at local, regional, and national recruiting events.
  • Build relationships with professional organizations, residency and fellowship programs, and academic institutions.
  • Participate in career fairs, networking events, conferences, and physician recruitment forums.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Presbyterian's mission, culture, and provider value proposition.
  • Track and manage recruitment metrics, including: Time-to-fill, Time-in-stage, Candidate pipeline activity, Service level agreement (SLA) adherence, Candidate experience measures.
  • Maintain compliance with all recruitment policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Utilize recruitment technology and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
