About The Position

Corewell Health in Southwest Michigan is seeking a Full-Time, Board Certified or Board Eligible, Addiction Medicine Physician or Addiction Psychiatrist. Corewell Health's Centers for Recovery and Healing in Niles, MI and Benton Harbor, MI, provide compassionate care for patients impacted by substance use and alcohol disorders with empathy, support, treatment and understanding. This is a grass roots program and we are looking for a passionate physician who is looking for an opportunity to grow this into a robust treatment program that will make a lasting impact not only on the health and wellbeing of our patients, but on the community we serve.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • Doctorate
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required Or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required
  • CRT-Controlled Substance (CDS) - STATE_MI State of Michigan - Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they relate to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
