About The Position

The Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) plays a vital role in supporting physical therapists and ensuring patients receive high-quality rehabilitative care. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Physical Therapy Technician or completion of a relevant training program.
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physical therapy principles.
• Strong communication skills daily to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with therapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail is essential when preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and documenting patient progress to ensure safety and compliance.
• Physical stamina and dexterity are important for assisting patients with exercises and mobility tasks.
• Problem-solving skills help the PT Tech adapt to patient needs and respond to any issues that arise during therapy sessions.
• Proficiency with technology, such as EMR systems, supports accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow within the clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Additional coursework or certification in patient care or rehabilitation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care.
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing support and reporting any changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
• Document patient progress and treatment details accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and provide education on therapy procedures.
