About The Position

Peak Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to join its team in Frisco, Texas. This unlicensed associate works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist and follows applicable state practice acts and company policies and procedures. The role supports patient care and clinic operations, requiring excellent organizational skills and attentive insight.

The technician prepares equipment and treatment areas, assists or observes patients performing prescribed exercises, documents patient responses, and provides basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads. The role also includes cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, laundering linens, and assisting with patient intake, phone calls, and appointment scheduling. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organizational detail and the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency using computers and ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and treatment areas for patient use.
• Assist and/or observe patients performing prescribed therapy exercises and document their responses to treatment.
• Perform basic prescribed treatments, such as applying ice packs and heat pads, as instructed.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, and change and launder linens.
• Assist with patient intake, answer phone calls, and schedule patient appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
