About The Position

The Physical Therapy Technician assists physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care, ensuring safety, successful execution of exercises, and a positive outcome. This role involves instructing, motivating, and assisting patients in learning and improving functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities. The technician will safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff, demonstrating correct activity form or function. They will observe patients during physical activities, compile progress reports on patients’ response to treatment, and effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to the therapist. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 years of age or older

  • Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician
